Truguard Anti Climb Security Fencing
Rotating Anti-climb Security System

Relocating production to our Special Products Division

Assembling a team to develop the business and a change of location has offered the most promising path to growth for the TruGuard rotating anti climb guard.

Why does the location matter?

A number of reasons are typically cited for moving the operations of a business and chiefly amongst them are labour and work force issues as well as an opportunity to reduce costs.

Previously located in a stock holding facility, space was at a premium and manpower not focused on processing operations. The move to our Special Processing division in the West Midlands has resulted in the machines and equipment being utilised more effectively with a cell layout that reduces throughput times and minimises materials handling.

Flexibility has also been increased so that we can adapt quickly to changes in product, demand, personnel or material and with more sub-contract facilities closely located for powder coating, where a coloured product is required, bottlenecks have been reduced.

Housed in a 65,000 sq ft facility, the inventory of TruGuard has also been increased enabling the product to be shipped from stock and more effectively, service customers.

With this investment in the TruGuard product, it shows manufacturer, Blackburns Metals' continued support for the security fencing and related perimeter security market.
